Hello! The updated Thinking Critically post is available. And good news, another post is coming soon! It should be ready on Thursday. If not, it will be posted Friday.
I am going to keep my updated thoughts on my goals for this blog, but please read below, and my Introduction post for more information:
My goals for this blog seem more timely with each passing day. I hope this blog is a place you come to get context, and start to better understand why so many people keep referring to 1930s Germany when they talk about modern-day America.
What we do here
We are here to talk about history and learn from each other. We’ll get academic, sort of.
I’m really leaning into the book theme here guys.
Click on Chapters AKA Posts to see my “main” blog posts. These posts start off with general information about history, then move on to topics related to how to study and evaluate what you are reading.
As we move through topics, you will see me using and studying specific time periods that interest me, and that I think we could all use a review on. So much has happened! And we forget things.
Appendix A: Book Opinions is where I share my thoughts on various books I have read. Since we are only sort of academic here, I am presenting them as my opinions, not as reviews. So my presentation will likely be far less rigorous then you typically see in book reviews.
Appendix B: Curiosity Cabinet is where I share other topics of interest with you. Expect to see topics ranging from gardening and sustainability to wine and whisk(e)y, and any number of other things.
The Acknowledgements and Works Cited pages allow me to give credit to anyone who has helped and the sources of information that support my writing.
Time to get sort of academic.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
I really enjoyed this article—it’s both informative and engaging.
The site is a great place for valuable insights.
